19,500+individuals served statewide

The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) set an ambitious goal: provide every Colorado resident with personalized, meaningful career support — regardless of age, background, disability, or stage of their career journey. To expand that reach, CDLE partnered with Pathful.

The platform removes barriers to career exploration and the 'world of work' by providing equity in learning about careers through visual imagery, discovery, assessments, and self-reflection.

Their goal with Pathful

CDLE aims to advance economic opportunity for all Coloradans. Committed to developing the state's workforce, the agency wants every resident to have access to the education and training that keeps Colorado thriving — and Pathful was the right fit to help get there.

Impact

Pathful has extended the reach of CDLE's Workforce Development Programs across the state, serving over 19,500 individuals of all ages — including those in rural and underserved areas. Clients can explore a career's education requirements, pay scale, and outlook, and consult integrated labor-market information not just by career, but by location.

How they use Pathful

CDLE, WIOA Career Specialists, transition staff, and the Colorado Department of Corrections all use Pathful to support individuals at every stage of their career journey — from assessments that identify interests and goals, to an extensive video library of careers and trades, to life-skills, workforce-readiness, postsecondary, and financial-literacy content that prepares clients for programs like the New Teacher Externship and the Colorado Governor's Summer Job Hunt.

How we found success

The partnership between Pathful's Customer Success Manager and the CDLE team opened doors across the state — including the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, Connecting Colorado, the Department of Education, and the Department of Corrections — leading to an efficient, effective rollout that gives Coloradans of all ages access to career evaluation, education, and training.
